Based on the great response to our recent Meet N Greet, The Hammer City Roller Girls invite you to the next installment of Derby 101. This is an 8 week crash course designed to teach new skaters the foundations that will help them pass a Women's Flat Track Derby Association's (WFTDA) minimum skating skills test. No previous skating experience necessary!
The cost to each skater is $60 + $40 for insurance. The classes will take place every Wednesday night starting on Oct. 28th and will run until Dec. 16. Classes begin at 7PM and end at 8PM - please ensure you get there early to be geared up and ready to skate for 7PM sharp.
When:Every Wednesday from Oct. 28– Dec. 16, 7-8pm Where: Caledonia Fairgrounds Arena (151 Caithness St. E, Caledonia, ON, N3W 1C2) Cost: $60 + $40 insurance (or RSC insurance, form provided by HCRG, which needs to be filled out and a photocopy of PHOTO ID must accompany the application along with payment) What you need:
- Skates
- Helmet
- Knee pads
- Wrist guard
- Elbow pads
- Mouth guard Also Pack:
-1 litre of water or sports drink to get you though the workout.
-Layers - please note that our new practice space is not heated, dressing in layers of workout gear is recommended.
-A great attitude, willingness to learn, and a desire to hit people hard! What to expect:
